5月に田植えをした百笑屋さんの田んぼ。遠目で見ると雑草なんてほとんどないように見えます。
これはヒエです。イネではありません。
※ここは農道です。念のため注意書き。
竹ドックくださーいと、千円握りしめて待っている娘。
食べるのも良かったですがやはり作る過程が楽しい！
この表情..美味しさが伝わって来ましたか？
5月から行われている糸島芸農ですが、今日は糸芸第2章、とも言うべき「アートの草むしり」に行ってきました。そうです、5月のオープニング・レセプションで田植えをおこなってから約2ヶ月、田んぼは稲だけが育っているわけではなくて、奴です、雑草がはびこって来ているのです。梅雨が開けるとその勢力は勢いを増してくるわけでそれを阻止するために草むしりという重要な仕事を農家の方々はやっているのです。
感想としては家の草むしりとわけ（スケール）が違うのと一番驚いたのは「ヒエ」と「稲」の違いが本当に見分けが難しかったです。「葉の中心が透き通っているのがヒエです。」と言われて比較するも確かに稲と違う用にみえるがやはり難しい..。まー僕は明らかに雑草だろうと判断できる草しか取りませんでした。上の写真の駆られたヒエわかりますか？
肝心の草むしりしてきた草でエコバックを作って来たのですがいい写真が手元にないので掲載していませんが、なかなか綺麗に葉の模様が付いて早く使えないか待ち遠しいです。（現在乾かしています）そして草木染めで使った焚き火はそのまま竹のホットドックを焼くために使います。田んぼに行って草むしりして草木染めワークショップした僕らのお腹は良い感じに空腹。この竹ドックの完成品がまた美味しそうでみんなで一斉に竹に生地を巻いていきます。そして火に向けて竹を差し出して、満遍なく火を通します。待つこと約10分で出来上がり。（この時点で十分美味しそう！）吉田シェフ（中央区赤坂「Tramont」のシェフ）に具を入れてもらって完成。これがめちゃめちゃ美味しかったです。是非「絶品糸島竹ドック」とかいうネーミングで商品化して欲しいと本気で思いました。
写真では子供ばかりが楽しんでそうに見えますが、大人もすごく楽しめたイベントでした。糸島芸農は主役は農業。それにアートがエッセンスとして味付けしているイメージです。ミュージアムやギャラリーで鑑賞することばかりがアートではない。そんな１日でした。
来週のイベントは 地域の資源と表現のワークショップ「農業のこれからの話をしよう！！」 と題して、農家✕作家 とのディスカッションなどが予定されています。個人的にも農業は興味ある分野なのでこちらも楽しみ。
